Our Story
Wilf Hewat Repairs Ltd opened its doors in 1955 after Hufty (Wilfred) and his wife Janice moved to the area. The company has taken on many shapes over the years from heavy duty truck shop, to International dealership, to automotive repair. Now run by son Darren the company has taken on even more changes. The newest stepping stone in the company's history being the establishment of a new division: Nakusp Excel Tire.

Where We Are Now
Opening Nakusp Excel Tire has allowed Wilf Hewat Repairs to not only be able to offer its customers a whole range of automotive services, but tires as well. It has added a new convenience for our loyal customers to have a 'one stop shop' for all their automotive and heavy duty needs. Becoming an Excel Tire has allowed Wilf Hewat Repairs to give our customers access to the best pricing when it comes to tires and wheels, while staying true to who we are and the level of service we provide; managed by Dave Olson, definitely stop in if you're in need of a deal or the latest gossip.
